- I installed the AmazonMP3 Downloader from Firefox, but the confirmation is displaying on another (e.g., Internet Explorer, Safari, or Chrome, etc.) browser. Why did it open the other browser?
- This is happening because Internet Explorer (or other) is your default browser. To ensure that you receive your rebates, be sure to register your Firefox browser with the AmazonMP3 Downloader
- Why does Amazon keep asking me to install the Amazon Downloader?
- This can happen if you install the dympol toolbar in a browser that is not your default browser. If this is the case, you need to “register” the browser you installed the toolbar on (Firefox) with the Amazon Downloader application. To ensure that you receive your rebates, be sure to register your Firefox browser with the AmazonMP3 Downloader
- Do I need special software?
- Only if you want to access dympol's discount prices on third party retail sites like AmazonMP3.com. To add this capability, you will need to install the dympol discount toolbar. At the moment, the toolbar is available for Firefox 3.x browsers running on PC, Mac or Linux operating systems. In the future, we will be supporting other browsers.
- What browsers work with dympol?
- If you want to use the dympol discount toolbar, you will need to be running Firefox 3.x. You can also use dympol without the toolbar on Firefox 3.x and Internet Explorer 8.x. Dympol has been observed to work in Safari 4.x but is not officially supported…yet.
- Why should I install the Amazon Downloader?
- We recommend installing the Amazon MP3 Downloader because it is required for album purchases on Amazon and it automatically adds your music downloads to iTunes or Windows Media Player. To install it and register your browser with it, go here.
- Why do dympol.com purchases get completed on AmazonMP3.com?
- Dympol is only a facilitator and we do not have our on on-line store. For this reason, we direct our users to a dympol-enabled retailer like Amazon to complete your purchases. But don’t worry, whether your start on dympol.com or an enabled retailer, you’ll get your rebates.
- Are my prices on dympol.com the same if I go through an enabled retailer (like AmazonMP3) with the dympol toolbar?
- The short answer is, “Usually.” There are some cases when this might not be the case. As a general rule, if you see something you like for a price you think is fair, don’t wait. Just buy it.
- Is there a fee for this service?
- No. dympol is absolutely free thanks to the support of sponsors.
- Problems with Amazon search result pages.
- Some users have reported that discounts do not show up on AmazonMP3 search result pages. If this happens to you, just click to drill down to the artist, album or song you are interested in and the dympol prices will display.
- Toolbar/website synchronization.
- The toolbar and the website are supposed to be in sync. When you log in or out of one, you are automatically logged in or out of the other. In some cases, when a user is logged out and chooses to log in to the toolbar, the website fails to recognize this. The work-around is to manually log in to dympol.com.
- Dympol prices aren't displaying on a dympol-enabled retail site.
- Sometimes a page will display on a dympol-enabled retailer that should have dympol prices but they don't show up. This is a known issue. Usually, simply refreshing the page by clicking the Firefox reload button will resolve this problem. After reload, dympol prices should be displayed.
- Firefox resend diologue box keeps displaying.
- Sometimes when logging in or out of the toolbar, Firefox displays
the following pop- up message (as shown below): '"To display this page,
Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a
search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier." Go ahead and
click on the Resend button and Firefox will log you in or out of both
the toolbar and the dympol website.

- Where does dympol get the money to pay for the discount rebates?
- Dympol works with sponsors that believe in the value of music and entertainment and want to earn your appreciation by offering cash discounts without the inconvenient disruptions of other on-line services. So, each rebate is presented courtesy of a relevant advertiser. You'll see the sponsor's information during and after you make your purchase but you won't be asked to do anything except buy what you want, when you want, where you want.
- Can I play the music I buy through dympol on my iPod (or iPhone, Touch, Windows Media Player)?
- Yes! The music downloads purchased with the help of dympol are MP3s that play on iPods® and all MP3 players.
- Why does dympol offer this service?

Instead of offering all entertainment at the same price, dympol adjusts prices to match what most people think it's worth. To do this, dympol randomly offers variable discounts to learn what buyers are willing to pay and, as a result, how much of a discount most people want. Once we get a good idea of what most people think a certain song, album, book or movie is worth, we offer artists, record labels, retailers, etc. the opportunity to actually offer their products at the prices people want from the start. We also offer sponsors a great way of letting you know about their products and services without interrupting what you want to do on-line.
Dympol prices aren't just good for you; they're good for everyone. Dympol offers prices that help you buy more for less while helping recording artists and other creators earn more. Everyone wins!
- How are my discount amounts determined?
- In a word, "randomly." Although different people might be assigned different discount amounts at the same time for the same title, such assignment is done randomly. Everyone has an equal opportunity to get high, medium, low, or no, discount on a particular release.
- What if I forget my Password?
- If you forget your Password, you will need to request a password reset by clicking Forgot Password on dympol.com or the dympol toolbar login pop-up. You will be asked to enter the Email address associated with your account along with the answer to the secret question you gave when you first created your dympol account. If you are using dympol with your Facebook details and you've fogotten those, you will need to contact Facebook.
- What if I forget my dympol secret question?
- If you are able to log in to your account with your Email address and password, or with your Facebook details, then you can review or change to a new secret question and answer by going to your My Account page.
- What if I forget BOTH my dympol password and my secret question?
- If you forget both your dympol password and your secret question,
you will need to send an email to support@dympol.comwith
your:

- How do I change the personal information in my account?
- Your personal information is contained on the My Account page. If you are not currently logged in, you will need to login first.
- Do I need an account?
- No. To use dympol you have two options. You can register for an account directly with dympol, or you can use your Facebook login credentials. To set up your account or login with Facebook, click here.
- I already have a dympol account; do I need a special account to use the dympol toolbar?
- No. All you need is to download and install the toolbar. Then, log in, from either dympol.com or the toolbar itself, using your dympol or Facebook details.
- What if I forget my dympol user name?
- The Email address you used to set up your dympol account is your user name. If you are logging in with your Facebook details, you will need to contact Facebook to recover your Facebook user name and/or password.
- Do I have to give you my real Email address?
- Yes. Using your real Email address is vital. You need it to recover a forgotten password and you also need it to confirm your account the first time you withdraw your rebates. If you submit a fake password there will not be any way for you to get your cash.
- What does the Activity page do?
- The Activity page displays your dympol transaction history. If you can't remember the details of a previous purchase, the dympol Activity page allows you to review all your dympol-enabled mu purchases. The information provided includes the date, the item(s) purchased, the name of the retailer, the retailer's published price, the dympol price, the amount of the dympol rebate credited to your account, and the identity of the associated sponsor. The activity page is also used to confirm rebates for purchases that you initiate from dympol.com without the toolbar installed. When you click on the Confirm Rebates button, you simply fill in your Amazon account details and dympol automatically checks to make sure that you actually bought the item for which you are claiming a rebate. Your information is only used when you initiate a check, it is sent via encrypted communication and it is not stored on our servers.
- Why is there an asterisk (*) next to my account balance?
- When you purchase featured content from dympol.com, we immediately give you provisional credit for the related rebates and place an asterisk next to your account balance to let you know that you have to confirm those purchases. To confirm purchases, just go to your Activity page and click the "Confirm Pending" button. All properly completed transactions will be confirmed and the asterisk will disappear. After attempting to confirm pending transactions, those that were not successfully confirmed will display with an "X" next to them. If you are certain that you completed the transaction in question, try to confirm again, otherwise, click on the "X" to remove the unconfirmed transaction from your Activity. Install the dympol Toolbar and all transactions will be confirmed automatically!
- What are Pending Transactions?
- When you purchase featured content from dympol.com, we immediately give you provisional credit for the related rebates and place an asterisk next to your account balance to let you know that you have to confirm those purchases. To confirm your pending rebates, click the "Confirm Pending" button, then enter and submit your Amazon login details. The rebates for all confirmed purchases will be automatically added to your "confirmed and available" account balance. Install the dympol Toolbar and all transactions will be confirmed automatically!
- Why do I have to, and how do I, confirm transactions?
- When you purchase featured content from dympol.com, we immediately give you provisional credit for the related rebates and place an asterisk next to your account balance to let you know that you have to confirm those purchases. - How do I get my money?
- Every time you use dympol to purchase music from dympol.com and/or
dympol-enabled retailers, you earn a cash-back rebate equal to the
discount amount. Rebates accumulate in your dympol account until you
decide to withdraw them in one of two ways:
- Sending your accrued confirmed dympol rebates to your PayPal account, or
- Using your account balance to buy discounted products and services from our sponsors.
If you don't already have a PayPal account, you can easily set one up by going to www.PayPal.com.
Transfers to PayPal may be made as frequently as once per week as long as your rebate account balance is $2.00 or higher. Dympol even pays the outbound cost of transferring your funds.
There are no limits on applying your balances to purchases of sponsors' special offers.
If you are already logged in, your rebate balance will be displayed at the top of the left panel on every page or to the right of the status orb on the toolbar, respectively.
Note that the first time you attempt to transfer accuulated rebates out of your account, you will be required to secure your account by providing some additional personal information and responding to a confirmation Email.
- Why do I have to provide more information about myself in order to liquidate my rebates?
- When you request a rebate withdrawal for the first time, for your security, we need to confirm that you are the rightful owner of the account. The additional information we gather and the Email confirmation we send to your registered email account, ensures that your account is secure and protected.
- What do the different "Payment Status" messages mean?
- There are four different "Payment Status" messages that could appear on the Rebates page - "Pending," "Submitted," "Completed," and "Rejected." All rebate cash withdrawal requests begin as "Pending." Once we successfully receive and transmit the request, the status will change to "Submitted." Once we get confirmation back from PayPal that they have received the funds on your behalf, the payment status will be updated to "Completed." If there is some problem with the transfer, then the payment status will be updated to "Rejected."
- How long will it take to process my PayPal payment?
- It will take approximately 2 - 5 business days for the PayPal payment to reach your account. Visiting the Rebates page is the best way to check the status of your withdrawal requests.
- I requested a withdrawal of my rebates more than five days ago and I still haven't received my money. What should I do now?
- Go to your Rebates page to see the status of your rebate request. If you are still concerned about your rebate request, please email support@dympol.com. Please allow 1-3 days for a response.
- I installed the dympol toolbar but it's not showing up. What do I do now?
- Some people using older versions of Firefox have reported that after installation, the dympol toolbar doesn't automatically show up. To remedy this, go to "View > Toolbars" in the Firefox menu and make sure there is a check mark next to "dympol toolbar." We'd also suggest that you upgrade to the latest version of Firefox.
- Why should I install the dympol discount toolbar (for Firefox browsers)?
- The current (beta) version of the dympol discount toolbar for
Firefox browsers gives you access to discount prices for digital music
on third party retailers like AmazonMP3.com. When you search or browse
music on AmazonMP3.com (and soon, other retailers) with the dympol
toolbar installed, our discount prices and buy buttons are displayed as
shown below.
By clicking the dympol buy button and the sponsored Complete Purchase» link that appears, your purchase will be fulfilled by the retailer at full price and dympol instantly issues you a cash-back rebate equal to the amount of the discount.
You can also access special offers on some of the hottest titles directly from the dympol.com home page. Just click on the corresponding
and (if you're logged in with the toolbar installed) you'll be taken
directly to purchase confirmation page on Amazon.com. Discount rebates
will automatically be credited to your dympol account.

- What do the gray, green, and red status lights (aka dympol “orbs”) on the toolbar mean?
- These gray, green or red 'orbs' indicate the toolbar status.

You are not logged in and dympol prices will not be displayed. 
When you are logged in, this displays the current value of your dympol rebate account. Clicking the adjacent drop-down arrow will reveal quick links to View Activity and Redeem Rebates. 
You are not logged in while browsing a page that may contain rebates. You should log in to take advantage of discount prices.
- How can I display the dympol toolbar only when I need or want it?

To hide the dympol toolbar, simply click on the Firefox View menu, then select Toolbars. Then, click on Dympol Toolbar to remove the check mark. At this point the toolbar will no longer be visible. To display it again, click on the View menu again, and select Toolbars. Click on dympol Toolbar to place a check mark next to it. Now, the toolbar will be visible again. 
- Unintended Toolbar Reinstall.
- In certain circumstances you may be on the first page of the dympol toolbar installation process just to troubleshoot and a toolbar download begins even though you don’t want to reinstall the toolbar at that point in time. If this happens, simply click on the red x INSTEAD OF the “Allow” button.
- Strange toolbar behavior.
- If you've recently uninstalled and reinstalled the dympol Toolbar and/or upgraded to a newer version of the dympol toolbar and it is not behaving as expected, there might be a problem with Firefox's "Clean Up" function. This is a known issue that effects many different toolbar publishers. The solution is to create a new profile in Firefox.
